“ DIAMOND in the Rough We all know that as a female, it can sometimes be hard to find a female-friendly Barber Shops, especially when it mostly male owned. I have been to plenty and let me tell you, Against Da Grain is Top Notch and this Female Approves. Let me set the stage for you by saying, 1st you walk into a Sleek Shop with lights and Mirrors galore (lighting had all my angles looking right). Easy-going vibe, flat screens (3 to be exact) on a station that will catch your attention and keep it there while you wait, and Friendly Barbers that engage you from the moment you hit the door (Let the Church Say Yeah). Had to get a quick #JBCutz tape-up and like my make-up it was on point. JB listened to my needs and valued my concerns about my hair and hair goals. Dude got your girl right for the weekend. Even though I was a walk- in, it was easy to use their app, set my appointment and get in the chair ASAP!!!!! Plus they accept CASH. So if you are in the Charleston area and need that quick Pick-Me Upper with the clippers, let the Barbers at Against Da Grain get you right. Dont matter whose chair you sit in, all are masters(Sho-Nuff) at what they do. And as always, don't take my word for it, Go And Experience it for yourself. Tell them Queen of the World sent you!!!!! “ This is more than just a place to get a haircut. The barbers and customers are having conversations about all types of subjects. It reminds me of my family at the dinner table talking about past memories or talking with my little brother about whose favorite sports team is better. I’m more of a quiet, listening type of person and some would say that I’m an introvert but I couldn’t help but join the conversation with the barbers and customers. They were so welcoming and people from all types of backgrounds/cities come in here so you can definitely learn something new. This is a cool experience and it makes you feel good to be in there. The fresh haircut is the icing on the cake. I showed the barber just one picture and he executed it. Come here if you want to get a quality haircut in the classic barber shop environment.
